Cute kittens

Hi! It's a week since my last post! My hubby was away most of last week, and the weekend has been crazy busy so I've just managed to make one card this last week.... It's a birthday card for my friend, whose birthday is this week. She loves cats, so I found this digi from Polkadoodles and I had to use it for this card.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
I'm loving animal stamps and digis lately... I've acquired a few clear and digi animal stamps lately, so you will be seeing a few more animal cards from me soon!

A One layer card!!!

Hi!
I hope you've all had a great weekend, with a bit of time  (or a lot!) for crafting!

I was able to squeeze a bit of time (that's it, working until really late at night once the girls are in bed!). My toddler seems to be so full of energy, she doesn't want to sleep early... I haven't got any other option than to craft during the night.. which I don't really mind on the weekend, and I get some peace and quiet!)

Today I bring you another New baby card, which I've made for my friend and neighbour, who had a baby boy last week. It's CAS (I think it's the most CAS card I've ever made!), just one layer and no designer paper! that was a challenge!

So, after a lot of stamping, inking, masking and colouring this is what I ended up with! A few years ago I wouldn't have dreamt to make a CAS card... but lately I'm really giving them a try (although I still like to indulge in layers and lots of embellishment in some of my cards).

For this card I used a clear stamp set that I've had for a long time and it's been sitting in a drawer since.... (together with a lot of more stamps waiting to be inked...). It's the "New Arrival" Forever Friends clear stamp set, I don't remember where I got it from.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

Card Recipe

 6x6 card blank
"New Arrival" Forever Friends clear stamp set (baby bear and cross stitching stamps)
Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the stamp
Papermania light and dark blue pigment ink
Sizzix Tim Holtz On the Edge torn notebook die (used to mask the edges of the inked patch)
The Crafter's shop mini template - writing stencil
Postal mark clear stamp from The Works
multi date stamp (from local shop in Spain) - I used it to add the baby's date of birth
"Cute as a button" stamp from Hobbycraft
blue heart button
sequins in different colours

I hope you like my try on a one layer CAS card! If you do, don't forget to leave me some love in the comments and follow me if you are not doing so... Thanks!

Until next time!!!

loving washi tape...

Hi there!

Back today with a new card. Clean and simple this time, with quite a few bits of washi tape here and there... I'm totally addicted to washi tape... I can't leave my local craft shops without buying a few rolls each time! I really have fun playing around with it, but I must hold the record on the amount of times I move it around my card!

Anyway... on to the card

For this card I used one of the new bird images from Bugaboo stamps.
I coloured it with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

Layers and more layers!!!!

Hi! I hope you are having a great weekend and a great Valentine's day!!!

I've got a new card for you today. It's a new baby card for a friend of mine who is due any time now! Actually, the baby should have been here exactly one week ago!

I decided to make the card in my "messy" style... lots of layers, distressing, heat embossing and lots of embellishments! I really had a lot of fun making it.

For this card I used a LOTV stamp, which I bought a few years ago, right before my long crafting break and I never had the chance to use.
I decided to use Kraft and pink on my card, which together with blue and pink is one of my favourite colour combinations.

Stencils and stamping

Hi!
I'm back today with a new card... This time it's a Clean and Simple card, which I find so difficult to make.. But lately I've been drawn to more simpler cards... I still enjoy my layers and embellishments, but now and then I like to make something simpler, which doesn't mean easier!

I decided to make a card without any patterned papers. I bought some stencils the other day and I couldn't wait to use them to create a bit of a background. Nothing too dramatic, but it took me ages!!! I think this background was the fourth try! I've realised I'm so messy when I use inks... it's so difficult to keep the ink only in the places I want it to be... not sure if I'm making any sense, I hope so!

For this card I used the sketch for this week's CAS(E) this sketch challenge

This cute stamp is a new rubber stamp I got for Christmas. It's from Stamping Bella and it's called Tiny Townies Bree Loves Buttercream. The sentiment is part of it too.

Card Recipe

7x5 card blank
purple cardstock
white cardstock
Memento ink in tuxedo black
Promakers and Flexmarkers to colour the stamp

A Cow Valentine's card

Hi there!!!
It's Friday!!! where has the week gone??!!! so happy that the weekend is almost here...

I'm back with a new card today. Another Valentine's card.. This is the one I've made to give my husband next week. Why?? The cow!!!! inside joke between my hubby and I, won't say more than that.. ;)

This is one of those crazy cards, busy with lots of layers. The ones without a pre-planed sketch, playing with the papers and see how it goes!  I decided not to use the typical red/pink colours as it is for my husband.. and I though yellow would go well with the black and white.. at least I hope so!

This darling Cow digi is from Polkadoodles. How cute is she holding that flower with her mouth???

Card Recipe

7x5 card blank
Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the digital stamp

Love ya!

Hi there!
Back with a new card today. It was so busy last week that I didn't have much time to sit down in my little craft corner... But yesterday, after the girls went to sleep I decided that enough was enough and it was time to play with my markers and papers!  And of course, with February here it had to be a Valentine's card!!!

For this card I used the sketch  #370 from the Sketch Saturday challenge

I hope you like my interpretation of it. For the vertical stripe element at the bottom I decided to use a curved "gap" instead of using a different patterned paper or ribbon crossing over.

The digi is from Hilarious Cupid from the Paper Shelter. Isn't he a real cutie???

Card Recipe

7 x 5 card blank
