I wish you a very "birdie" Christmas time!!!!

Hi there!

I hope you are doing well.
After all week of just taking care of kids and house.... and having a really bad cold, I got a bit crafty this morning and caught up with my Christmas cards making. I'm running really behind.... Luckily the cards are a bit simpler to what I'm used to make, so it doesn't take me as long!

Today I bring you the card/gift card holder that I made this morning. I used this fun digital stamp from From the Heart Stamps called "Seven Christmas Birds".  With this card I went back to my love for distressing... and my addiction to washi tape! I just can't get enough of it... every time I go to the craft shop, I have to get a few rolls!

Card recipe

Christmas Pattern Paper (freebie from magazine a few years ago)
Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour image
Washi tape
Pink and cream twine
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tattered Rose
Tim Holtz Distress tool
7 x 5 card blank

The card can also be used as a gift card holder.

Sunday 6 December 2015

I'm back!!!!! with a very colourful Christmas card!!!

Hi!!!!
I'm back!!!! Can you believe that it's been around 20 months since the last time I blogged (or made a card)....

What happened???  a lot of stuff in my life got on the way and I decided to stop crafting. I got pregnant and I started to feel really ill.... I couldn't concentrate on crafting, or sitting down on my desk to craft. I was part of 3 wonderful Designing teams, which I had to quit. I really enjoyed being part of them, but I got a bit overwhelmed and stressed out, and together with being ill I just couldn't cope.

Last week it was Aisha's first birthday.... I feel like I may have a bit of time for myself from now on and make a card or two while she's napping, in bed or when my lovely husband is at home... Let's see how it goes! but the crafting bug is back !

So as the season requires, I've started with Christmas cards!!! I've made a few already, quite simple without a lot of embellishments or layers as I need to send them on the post. I also want to explore different styles of card making... I love lots of layers and embellishments on my cards, but since starting to craft again I'm obsessed with a more simple look... I guess I'll be making a bit of both....it will depend on my mood!

So this is my first card:

I've used this fun digi from Bugaboo Stamps. I used my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour it.

Card recipe:
7 x 5 white card base
Pattern paper (freebie from magazine)
Stripy washi tape
Star punched from colour cardstock
Bling on stars
Sentiment is my own creation

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment if you like my card. Any feedback is very much appreciated!!!!

Until the next time!
